This holiday I was here:

so almost all new photos are from east Kazakhstan.
I hope you like it, sorry it takes so long to upload them.
In the meantime look at my boyfriend's gallery:

Aaaaaaand Nelson's gallery
Now. It's a translation from different photosite but I think it's worth submitting here, while 99,9% of comments on DA is "awesome", "great shot" or "wondelful" and 80% of photos is crap.
"You're frustrated with the ugly art floating out from DA? You have enough of these ambitious photos with a message that you don't understand? You consider artists as a braggarts admiring weird photos, usually b&w that neither auntie Molly nor uncle Sam like? You want to do sth about this?
I have a solution for you - take a real crap-photo and show everyone how should 'real' photography look like.
HOW TO MAKE A REAL CRAP
First of all, find a good subject, interesting for most of the Big Brother and Britney Spears generation. Good subjects are: at auntie birthday, Mary taking a shower, Fluffy watering the carpet, flower from my garden, neighbour's kid on a urinal.
Photo's subject must be proper for 80% of visiting your gallery (taking similar photos) not for 20% of crazy artists. All in all it's the 80% who comment your photos and give you favs.
Secondly, don't care about the proper capture or composition. All in all you don't have a spirit-level in your camera and nobody knows anything about capture composition, strong points, 1/3 partition etc. And if someone writes anything about it he's a braggart. Central photo is a good photo and if you shot a baby with a flash in his eyes - it's even better as makes a photo more dramatic. Don't worry about the background - nobody can control it anyway.
Thirdly, it's the emotion that matters, not the technique. Sharpness - tell everyone that you wear glasses or that you don't have autofocus in your camera. Moved photo - it was too dark. White sky - it was too bright. Contrast - what, you couldn't turn out the Sun!
Moreover, don't care about file compression. If it's too small it's even better - will upload quickly. Besides, you'll be safe as no one will steal such pic. If everything fails write it's scanner's fault. Tell everyone how beatiful your photo was before scanning..
At the end ask for constructive critique, full views and favs. Everybody knows that you are still learning and only DA members can tell you if a photo is sharp or not. And if it isn't, what should I do to make it sharp? And fight anyone who says your photo sucks. Everyone was a beginner after all!
Don't forget to visit people taking photos just like yours and leave them the only possible (positive!) comments. At least they will be the ones to comment and fav your photo.
Seeing such a need I recommend Deviantart administration giving new categories: "Sunset", "Flower", "Butterfly", "My cat/dog/horse", "My kid", "My girlfriend/wife/lover/boyfriend/husband etc.", "My holiday", "Mess on my desk" or "I don't know what this is so I'm an artist".
I hope the administration will take care of our developement and will consider my postulates.
